Wheelchair Bags

Our service project for girls camp was for Oakland Children's Hospital.  When children stay there for treatment and are assigned a wheelchair, they are given a bag that fits on the back of the wheelchair to put their toys, coloring books and anything else they want to carry in it.  This year at camp, 140 girl hours were spent making 75 wheelchair bags.  Also two quilts were made to donate to the hospital.  One week after camp everything was delivered to Children's hospital by Sister Wilding and Sister Renshaw.  The service coordinator was so thrilled with the bags and quilts.  While we were there, we saw a little girl who looked about 4 years old rolling down the hall towards us in a wheelchair.  When she passed us, we noticed a cute wheelchair bag on the back of her chair.  Wow!  Thanks to all that spent time in service at girl's camp this year.
